The House of a Hundred Lives
House of Alvin is a London-based couture house devoted to the art of transformation.
Drawing upon mythology, history, memory and the romance of imagined worlds, the House creates garments that exist between fashion and fantasy. Historical silhouettes are reinterpreted through sculptural corsetry, architectural construction and delicate craftsmanship, giving form to visions that cannot be found elsewhere.
At its heart lies a belief that clothing is more than an expression of who we are. It can be an invitation to discover who we might become.
Each piece is an opportunity to inhabit another life, if only for an evening.
